Biochar is one of the most effective forms of carbon to add to soils, growth media and foliar applications. Small pores in the carbon structures create homes for microbiota and act as sponges in soils absorbing moisture and nutrients - making both available over a longer period in the soil. Biochar improves soil structure, reduces nutrient leaching and increases total soil organic carbon content. A little goes a long way.

Biochar provides permanent carbon structure. When combined with NRT or compost extracts, it becomes a biological housing system, improving nutrient cycling efficiency over time.

Feedstock: Organic hemp seed hulls, organic corn residue, hardwood biomass.

Important to remember: Adding uncharged biochar to soils directly can reduce availability of nutrients in its immediate vicinity as it absorbs nutrients around it - “charges”.
