All of Ryzome’s products are safe to use on all plant varieties and types. Our products are all chemical free and are made to enhance natural processes that support nutrient and mineral availability in soils for plants.
It is important to remember that nature always works in a complex balance with other factors in the environment. Plants and soil are extremely complex systems. Our products restore basic nutrients and minerals, and create homes for microbes, fungi, and bacteria that are depleted from our soil as we grow.

Ryzome will only ever bring you products that are suitable for agricultural purposes. While not every product is approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, we guarantee that they are suitable for use on edible gardens, and have been tested to ensure there are no harmful substances for you, your plants, or pets.
Having said that. None of our products are fit for direct human consumption. Like normal, all fruits and veggies should be washed before being consumed - that’s just good hygiene!

Lexi Parrott-Mautner - systems thinker, circular economy builder, and founder of Ryzome, a startup reconnecting waste to life.
With a Master’s degree from the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, Lexi has spent his career exploring how human systems intersect with the natural world and, most often, how they fail to. He’s worked across public, private, and nonprofit sectors, driven by a single question: what would it look like if our economy healed the environment instead of harming it?
The deeper Lexi looked, the clearer it became: without rooting our systems in ecological logic, we’ll keep solving the wrong problems. So he founded Ryzome, a circular economy startup that transforms waste into fertilizers and soils that nourish life.
Ryzome doesn’t just repurpose waste and reduce emissions. It tells a story as old as time, that nature belongs in the heart of human life. That climate impact can be traceable, tangible, and beautiful.
